The association of Italian plastic manufacturers has elected the CEO of Polimeri Europa as President.

During the General Assembly held yesterday in Milan, Italy, PlasticsEurope Italia, the association that representing the Italian plastics producers within Federchimica, nominated Alberto Maria Alberti, from Polimeri Europa, to be the new president. He succeeds Giuseppe Rossi who has been in office since 2006.

With a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Alberti is currently the CEO of Polimeri Europe (ENI Group), a member of the board at Enipower and GALP Energia (Lisbon, Portugal), as well as the Director of Eni Trading B.V., headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Fifty companies belong to PlasticsEurope Italia, the association for companies in the plastic material market segment. These companies represent a total turnover of € 8.3 billion, which is about 90% of the Italian national market.
